Article - Feature Spotlight: Facility Reservation System
InstaPage HOA websites include a number of very useful features designed specifically for homeowners associations. One of the most outstanding modules included for communities with facilities that support reservations is the Facilities Reservation System.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
Site Administrators have the ability to add as many facilities as desired; for example let's say your community has a tennis facility with six courts that must be reserved due to high usage. The Site Administrator can add the six courts as Tennis Court #1, #2, etc. so each can be separately reserved for use. The Site Administrator can also customize the blocks of reservable time, such as by the hour, and the hours of operation.
On the InstaPage HOA website's front end, your users will see the Facilities menu option with the six courts listed in the dropdown menu beneath it. By clicking on their preferred court they will be able to see what blocks of time have been reserved and by whom, in case they see a friend already reserving a court they may wish to contact and join. If they choose to reserve their own spot, they can click on the time slot and submit an online request. That request will be e-mailed to the coordinator for that facility as setup by the Site Administrator in the Site Administrator Control Panel. The coordinator can then act on gthe request to approve/deny/modify same. Assuming approval the reservation will be locked in and posted to the website's front end.
The system will work equally well on clubhouse reservations or literally any facility. Input is always solicited on how we can improve the feature so as to tailor it to meet the broader needs of our communities.
