Article: Reminder of InstaPage's SMS Text Blast Feature
The recent building collapse tragedy in Florida has reminded us that it is a good time to address a valuable feature of InstaPage® for communicating with your association members in an emergency.
Communities using our InstaPage® HOA website system are reminded that the product you are using for your homeowners association website includes not only an e-mail blast feature, but a second "push" feature of great value in emergencies, such as hurricanes, tornadoes, fire or other emergency situations: the SMS text blast feature.
This feature allows your Site Administrator to generate an SMS text message that can reach the smartphones of registered users that have input their cell number & service provider in their InstaPage® profile. It lies right beneath the e-mail blast feature in your Site Administrator Control Panel.
We encourage you to ask your residents to enter the necessary information when registering for your site, or to update their profiles with this information. You will find this technology/feature invaluable in an emergency.
